The New Jersey Citizen Action Oil Group (NJCAOG) is comprised of over 6,000 New Jersey heating oil consumers who have joined together to say "NO" to high priced heating oil. Members realize that by purchasing their fuel oil as a group, they are able to save as much as 30% per gallon and not sacrifice the quality and dependability of a full-service oil company.
Since 1983, NJCAOG has continued to fight for heating oil consumers in New Jersey. By providing our members with information regarding wholesale pricing, NJCAOG arms NJ consumers with the knowledge they need to obtain the best price per gallon for their heating oil.
As a member of NJCAOG, you will be placed with 1 of 30 prominent oil companies that will service you as a regular customer. You will receive the same prompt deliveries, service and quality heating oil that full paying customers do, with one added benefit. As a member of NJCAOG, you will receive significant discount rates on the price of your heating oil.

By joining NJCAOG today, you can begin saving as much as 30% on your heating oil bills. Joining is easy! Print out a copy of our application, complete it and mail it in. E-mail us at oilgroup@njcitizenaction.org. Or simply call 1.800.464.8465 and the NJCAOG staff will take your application over the phone. Membership ranges from $15.00 to $24.00 a year. Once NJCAOG has received your application, they will match you with a local, full-service heating oil supplier and mail you a welcome packet containing all the information you need to begin enjoying the benefits of our fuel buyer’s group.
PRICE PROTECTION
NJCAOG members can expect to save between 15% and 30% on their heating oil bills. Your price per gallon is based on the wholesale price of oil. Unlike your current oil company, your NJCAOG Supplier can not increase his profit margin just because it is winter. Also, if the whole sale price of oil drops, so does your heating oil bill!
DELIVERIES AND SERVICE
NJCAOG only contracts with full-service, local oil companies. NJCAOG suppliers average over 50 years in the fuel oil business. NJCAOG monitors our heating oil suppliers every day to ensure that our members are receiving the best possible service.
NJCAOG places you with a local supplier that knows your community, and probably has customers in your neighborhood that are paying their premium price per gallon for the same heating oil you are receiving at a discount.
GROUP PURCHASING POWER
