Camden Summit Well Attended

CourierPostOnline — Tuesday, February 3, 2009

On Jan. 24, New Jersey Citizen Action, an independent watchdog coalition, along with Wachovia, a Wells Fargo company and Camden City Council President Angel Fuentes, served as hosts for a small-business summit at Rutgers-Camden's Main Lounge at 326 Penn St. in Camden.

The event attracted more than 100 participants, including small-business owners, those considering opening a small business and representatives of local and state economic development organizations.

The free program addressed the challenges and opportunities facing small-business leaders and owners in the Camden County area.

The forum is one of several events held by New Jersey Citizen Action and Wachovia in an attempt to address the needs of the small-business community and develop creative funding mechanisms to increase and expand small businesses in urban areas.
