NJ Citizen Action Congratulates James Solomon, Jersey City's next Mayor

NEWARK, NJ: In a press statement today, NJ Citizen Action’s Executive Director Dena Mottola Jaborska, congratulated Jersey City’s new Mayor James Solomon on his win, noting that he has consistently stood with the working class people and immigrants, and has proven to be a steadfast leader who can also stand up to MAGA policies.
“The residents of Jersey City have voted for the leader who will put the needs of working families before those of developers and corporate interests. As Mayor, James Solomon will expand affordable housing, strengthen tenant protections, and hold bad landlords accountable. He will fight for a $20 minimum wage in Jersey City, establish living wage standards in city contracts, and increase public investments in local transportations, pools, and community services that families depend on. We congratulate him on his victory and look forward to working with him to help make Jersey City a city where everyone, not just the wealthy, can live and call home.”
